Just out of interest Tamara, are you spotting any 'weird' devices popping up in your omniture reports - I guess I mean the kinds of devices shown in the lower half of the (admittedly) google analyticsimage here? No problems if you would rather not say!

The reason I ask is that I know people are getting excited about mobiles but I sense there is a growing but pretty much ignored games console 'market out there as well but have nothing to prove that.

Thanks Stephen - truly useful link! I have on my machine several versions of ie and Firefox and I rely on my developers to test linux, opera etc... but you are right - it's almost impossible to test every possible variation.

Hi Tamara

It would certainly make things easier! But, unfortunately YANYC (you are not your customer!)

And its always fascinating to realise just how many different devices, browser types etc that people use to access a site - with the implication that it may render different on every one. This link gives you a clue how your site looks on otjher browsers.

Still, I don't know it really helps convey a sense of just how different the user experience is for someone using opera on their Blackberry, to someone commecting via Nintendo Wii on their widesreen TV!

Hi Claude

I tend to agree with you about the lobbying effort and think that there probably exists a good opportunity for some of the member organisations to step up to the plate and act more like the US Travel Association.

Mmmm...I'll have to ask our techie chap about the other issue though!

Best regards

Wouldn’t it be great if…politic decision maker put more budget on tourism and etourism industry?

I think we are not good @ lobbying for our industry!!!

Car industry, oil, bank, etc can catch money from gouvernement all over the world in this crisis time and tourism and etourism industry are @ the end or out of the game !!!

In Europe, they are 15 000 guys who make lobbying around Europe Union Commission
They work for Car industry, Steel industry, Oil industry, Chemical industry, Farming industry, and so on....

Tourism lobbying guys where are you ???

Some thought that explain many thinks !!!

BTW, Wouldn’t it be great if ...you can put a WP plugin to follow your blog comments ;-)

Best regards

Hmmm, good point 2 about short term price gouging - can't think of any candidates there:

BBC News: Ryanair propose spending a pound to spend a penny
